Looking for a great snow day activity that both you and your pet can enjoy? Think about mixing up some homemade dog treats that are sure to get your dog excited. Healthy and made with all organic ingredients, these treats are a healthy alternative to those store bought brands, plus, they're a nutritious way you can treat your dog while he's being trained. Here's our recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup of Cream of Wheat (Dry)
1 cup of Carnation Dry Milk (lowfat) (Dry)
One jar of organic carrot baby food
One jar organic turkey dinner baby food
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Next, in a large mixing bowl, mix together ingredients until well combined. Then, using a spoon (size is your choice), drop the dough onto the cookies sheet, leaving enough room for each treat to spread out slightly. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned on the edges. Cool and serve to your pup. To store these treats, put them in an airtight container where they can be frozen for 3 months or refrigerated for 3 weeks. Enjoy!
